In the wake of the annual general meeting of the Urban Geography Research Group of the RGS-IBG, we are advertising two high-profile vacancies to be filled – Event Coordinator and Treasurer. These are 3-year positions, and candidates should be Fellows of the RGS-IBG.

For the Event Coordinator position, the responsibilities are:

Articulate the conference theme

Logistically prepare and coordinate the annual conference, usually held in April, including catering, guest speakers, scheduling, delegating key tasks to other committee members, etc.


For the Treasurer position, the responsibilities are:

Manage the UGRG bank account (online)

Compile the annual financial report for the RGS

Deal with any expenses incurred by committee members or other personal

Help on the financial tasks of the Annual Conference

Attend RGS research group committee meetings in London (if needed)
